Woman's Fly-Fishing Journey
Shelley Walchak is a librarian by trade, but she is an angler at heart. although Fly-fishing is a late life discovery for her, she intends to make up as much time as possible. Walchak gave up her job at the Colorado State Library a few years ago to fly fish a river a week for a year. She bought and outfitted a camper, purchased camera equipment and a computer and hit the road - 7 Rocky Mountain States and 52 rivers. Her photographs and the blog posts of her journey became her book titled: 52 Rivers. Walchak will share her fly-fishing journey with you at the Old Rock Library on Tuesday, August 4th at 7 pm. Her book will be available for sale. The presentation is sponsored by the Crested Butte Friends of the Library, free and open to the public.
