This Summer, take a trip with us as we explore Travel with a Cause, a series of events at the Library that presents efforts by people in our community to make the world a better place. Thursday June 22 at 7 pm, Brice Hoskin will share his work on the Ganesha Cookstove Project. A project grown out of the Gunnison Valley and now deployed throughout the world! “Brice Hoskin, the founder, designer and chief fundraiser of the Ganesha Cookstove Project, has traveled extensively in Asia and spent many nights in smoky huts by a wood-burning fire. An avid backpacker, in 2015 he began working to create a better backpacking stove, one that would burn wood, pine cones and anything else available. It was critical that it be lightweight, fold flat, and burn much better than a campfire. ” – From http://www.ganeshacookstoveproject.com/how-it-started/
