Introducing the ?Environmental Possibilities Series,? Professor Abel Chavez, ?Co
Kicking off in December at Rumors Coffee and Tea House, HCCA is pleased to announce its new partnership with the Western State Colorado University (WSCU) School of Environment and Sustainability. WSCU professors will join us in Crested Butte one Sunday per month throughout the year, to discuss what success looks like when it comes to environmental change. Topics will fall all over the sustainability map, but will revolve around one simple theme: ?Impossible environmental challenges made possible.? We hope you will join us for this stellar series, which is completely FREE and open to all! Dr. Abél Chávez is Professor of Environment and Sustainability at Western State Colorado University. At Western Dr. Chávez leads the Sustainable and Resilient Communities (SRC) track of the Masters in Environmental Management (MEM). A native Coloradan, Dr. Chávez returned to the state after residing in Berlin, Germany where he was a researcher at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK). He has worked with large and small communities in the US, from New York City to Broomfield, and communities abroad (e.g., Delhi, India; Manila, Philippines).
