Hike the Snodgrass Trail

Join us for a moderate hike on the Crested Butte Land Trust?s newest property. President Bill Reimer will lead a small group of hikers through rolling hillsides replete with wildflowers, impressive aspen stands, and a beautiful fir forest. The trail traverses conserved property and Forest Service land, as well as privately owned ranch land, and stands as an example of our unique relationship between recreation and ranching. Hiking, biking, horseback riding, and skiing opportunities abound for most of the year, but the trail closes seasonally to allow the land owners to graze their cattle. We?ll learn about the diverse uses of our lands while taking in the spectacular views this area has to offer.
