Wild & Scenic Film Festival
Come get inspired! 1% for Open Space hosts the Wild & Scenic Film Festival June 7 and 8 with a full evening of carefully selected short films targeted specifically for Gunnison County audiences. Travel the world’s mountains, rivers, jungles and plains through the lens of independent filmmakers to connect with the citizens there who love their land and are making a difference in it. With grassroots activists, agriculturalists, politicians, indigenous peoples and celebrities, these stories tell the tales of people fully facing the environmental issues confronting our planet, and finding positive and creative solutions in their little corner of the world. Celebrate in the activities that bond us deeply to the land, and create kinships with those from across the globe who also raft, fish, farm, ski and climb in these amazing landscapes. Be in awe. Reconnect. Get motivated. This is where activism finds its inspiration.
