Event Description:
Do you find yourself surrounded by stuff, including many things that you don’t use or need, and piles you shift from here to there? You aren’t alone. It seems modern day Americans have an abundance of material goods, which at some point become clutter. Effective marketing by manufacturers and retailers and new found buying power in the last few generations has left us spending time searching through piles of things for what we need and actually want, and dusting our belongings instead of taking care of ourselves or doing something meaningful with a friend or our family. Holly Annala will help you learn how to reduce the stream of information and goods you are inundated by daily, and consequently reduce the amount of stress you feel. Learn strategies to effectively de-clutter your home, office and garage without becoming overwhelmed. She’ll offer tips to deal with tough categories like children’s rooms, outdated but still good clothing and household items, memorabilia, inherited items and gifts. Finally, learn simple solutions organize your time and the things you need and love and ways to maintain the order so you can quickly find what you need each day. The results aren’t a bare home, but one in which you are inspired to spend time doing things you want instead of moving and cleaning clutter. Create some space in your home and new inspirations are bound to fill that space! Holly is the owner of Peaceful Home Organizing. She grew up in Durango, Colorado (with a lot of clutter around a 400 acre ranch!) and has lived in Crested Butte for 21 years. She is happiest when backpacking, biking and camping around the west with her husband Rob Mahedy and her friends.
